Social Work Supervisor
North Shore Child & Family Guidance is seeking a full-time talented, dedicated social work supervisor to join our growing team who provide outpatient mental health services to our school-based program, and healing to children and teens experiencing social, emotional and/or behavioral issues.
Who We Are:
North Shore Child & Family Guidance Center—also known as the Guidance Center—is the leading community-based not-for-profit specialty children’s mental health center on Long Island. Our staff is specially trained in working with children and teens (from birth to age 24) and their families.
We provide bilingual mental health and chemical dependency services, behavior management, parent education, medication management and psychological and psychiatric evaluations, as well as advocacy and care coordination services. We also provide a rapid and thorough response to emergencies through our triage and emergency and high-risk teams composed of our most experienced staff members. Our programs save lives, and we’d love for you to join our team!
The position:
You will be responsible for staff training, supervision, evaluation and development of our team. You will provide: oversight of documentation and processes to ensure compliance with policies and procedures; guidance and direction to all staff.
Requirements:
· Master’s Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling (social workers must have LMSW, but LCSW preferred. Mental health counselors must have LMHC).
· Minimum one year of supervisory experience.
· Valid driver’s license.
